Jon Schnur is the Chief Executive Officer of America Achieves — a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing economic mobility and economic growth. Last year, Jon and America Achieves — with National Governors’ Association (NGA) Chair Kevin Stitt (R-Oklahoma) and NGA Vice-Chair Wes Moore (D-Maryland) — launched the Good Jobs Economy initiative to work alongside governors, states, and local regions to connect residents to good jobs while helping employers access skilled talent. The goal is to help over a million Americans reach and stay in the middle class by accessing good jobs and advancing their careers in a rapidly changing, AI-disrupted economy. With Jon’s leadership, America Achieves has launched and scaled successful nonprofit and public policy initiatives that have impacted economic mobility – including Merit America, Matriculate, CollegePoint, Results for America, GripTape, and others. America Achieves also advances federal and state public policy in workforce development, higher education, career pathways, K-12 education, and inclusive economic growth.
